“It’s not about coordination. It’s about showing up, moving, and letting go.” — Vanessa Aguirre

Vanessa Aguirre’s story begins in Lima, Peru, travels through Mexico City, and finds its rhythm in San Diego. In this episode, she shares how dance has always been part of her life, from childhood folkloric traditions to discovering her passion for dance fitness. What started as movement quickly became a way to connect with others and build a sense of belonging.

Her path was not linear. Vanessa originally built a career in culinary arts before shifting into fitness after moving to the United States. Through the YMCA and her early classes, she discovered something bigger than exercise. She found a community. That realization became the foundation for Loud Dance Fitness Studio, a space designed to help people feel safe, confident, and energized.

Today, as a studio owner, Vanessa is not just teaching classes. She is creating an environment where people show up for themselves and for each other. From leading instructors to building relationships with members, her work reflects a deeper purpose rooted in connection, growth, and joy through movement.
