Some actors would think a movie about murderous tomatoes is beneath them. Daniel Roebuck had the opposite worry: was he too lowbrow for it? A midnight-movie kid who grew up watching the original cult classic, Dan made it known he wanted in, and ended up playing an admiral who’s been keeping a very big secret.
In this episode, Dan reveals which of his improvised ideas actually survived the final cut (fans are already quoting it), what happens when a tour group wanders onto your set in the middle of a take, and why giving 150% on every job is the reason the phone keeps ringing. He also opens up about working with Rob Zombie, and shares a heartfelt story about the best friend who first took him to see the tomatoes.
And Lost fans, stick around. Dan has a theory about why his character got blown up, and once you hear it, you’ll never see that scene the same way. Plus, he takes on Rename the Movie with a Killer Tomatoes sequel pitch that might just be his best idea yet...
